How do firms handle file distribution? We a boutique firm with 14 attorneys. We do national work on a contingency fee. We have big companies as clients, but they are not individual attorney's clients. Some referrals come addressed to the office. Some come to individual attorneys based on relationships that they have with their contacts at that particular company. We are probably most akin to a personal injury firm.

I’ve been working as a vp of BD for the past year for a startup IB and I had hoped that it would get me a conversation for moving forward in the industry but I can’t seem to get a second look from most places. Well, I was the one who broke it off. I couldn’t get him to love me the way I needed or even respect me enough. It’s been 6 weeks of not seeing each other. We messaged this week. He doesn’t get it…. His messages show he still doesn’t know what he wants. Yet, if I am totally honest, I hate how part of me wishes he would do a grand gesture/finally decide to be a better man. It’s delusional. It’s crazy how love can be so rosy, sweet & blinding that the red flags seem surmountable.

Researching the job mkt & pay for nursing: It is so easy to set up a first interview esp. as a nurse. Set up a zoom meeting, in the zoom meeting ask abt job details and ask for the salary range. They will give it to you, and in my case it was the same range for both of the companies. (Hospice oncall nurse here👋). Then you fit in somewhere on that continuum based on education & experience—that where the negotiation comes in—they will make a case to place you as low as possible on the scale.

Any tips on staying motivated? I feel like my work is getting so predictable and boring and it isn't challenging my creative side. I find myself struggling to stay motivated throughout the day, does anyone else feel this way? How do you push through these feelings?

Any tips to prolong nail polish wear? My nails chip in less than 2 days with regular nail polish. I don’t want to get gel or powder because they ruin my nails and I only want to have my nails polished occasionally.
