Any tips on staying motivated? I feel like my work is getting so predictable and boring and it isn't challenging my creative side. I find myself struggling to stay motivated throughout the day, does anyone else feel this way? How do you push through these feelings?

As a 1 person HR show, what would your first hire be?

I took FAR in Aug and AUD last week. Didn’t pass FAR and feeling like I may have passed AUD. My original NTS for them runs out on dec 18. If I get a new NTS for one of them to take before busy season do I have to wait to take it until after my original NTS runs out?

Resigned from my job for blatant racism last week. Been a contingent worker for 6 months. The manager that recruited me unfortunately left after a couple weeks and went to another company. She however recommended me for the permanent opportunity to higher management. The acting manager came in, permanent role was posted, I applied, interviewed……manager told me they chose someone else external for the role. How to make a leap from UI/UX into product design? What skills should a PD have? With 5 YOE and I still feel like a junior. I have a good eye for visual design, but I'm a bit scared of the business strategy, analytics and testing part. Where do I start to learn those skills? I know the basics of testing and conducting workshops, but I don't know how to develop those skills further. My company focuses on UI and I haven't been lucky to land a PD job. Do companies really look for all those skills?

What is the biggest challenge you face as a UX DESIGNER in teams?

I am a UX designer and have spoken with a potential client who intially wanted to redesign the navigation and landing page of their site. They showed me analytics saying only .35% of users open the main menu (most access different pages through Google search and then leave the site) so it's not worth the time to redesign. I see a lot of growth potential here, but they don't see the value in good nav if users don't already use it. How do I show them the value of good nav? Should I just let it go?

I’m building my first iOS app. I only have experience in material design. I’m looking for easy to comprehend specs around standard design elements: headers, chips, buttons, etc. The iOS UI support material is nearly impossible to understand. Any advice for the best place to find that info? I’ve tried survival kits that aren’t very consistent. I’d also be willing to buy a quality iOS kit. Thanks in advance for the help!

I’m transitioning from Art Director to UX/UI Designer. As an AD, I’ve worked on UX/UI but it wasn’t the only thing I did. I don’t know how to title myself on my resume with all my experience being an AD and/or Designer though.

Does anyone have some advice on how to approach applying to jobs during this transition?
