C1, you’re wrong at Partner. Correction below:
Principal = Principal
Associate Partner = Partner (no equity)
Partner (equity) = Managing Director and Partner (MDP) (equity)
Senior Partner = Senior MDP
The beginner ranks vary by country, but for US:
Kearney = BCG
Business Analyst = Associate
Senior Business Analyst = Sr. associate
Associate = Consultant
Manager = project leader / manager
Principal = principal
Partner = Partner
Senior Partner = MD
Regions vary significantly, eg Kearney has a JBA program in eastern Europe and Middle East, BCG has a junior consultant position for PhD entries, junior associate in Europe and East Asia (usually w/o master), Kearney also has an Associate Partner role for principals getting ready to be promoted to partner. How you enter the firm varies on the country
In the end it doesn't matter, be happy you get an offer from either.
Kearney1 below is correct.
Kearney AP = BCG Partner
Kearney1 is correct
Yeah I miswrote, that's true. Thanks
