How do you answer a question in an interview asking how much are you expecting? And if they don't ask how do you bring it up? I need the exact words 😂

Totally depends on whether or not the range is listed. If the range is listed, I'll always go for the higher end because I think that's what everyone should do. But if there's no range posted, I think you have to use market rates, your past salary, and what you think your work is worth. Don't sell yourself short, present a competitive (though reasonable) salary. As for exact words, I think you say something like, “Based on my research and experience, I’m targeting a range of [$X–$Y], but I’m open depending on the full comp package.”

“I believe I am worth X, and here is why: “

Be ready to explain why you deserve the rate of pay. If you cannot do that, then you do not deserve the rate of pay. Simple as that.

Love this!

Go in knowing what the pay should be for someone with your experience in your city. Look at all the job listings for your role in your area and see what they have listed as the hourly. Ask any friends you have in the same field what they are making. When asked about pay expectations, say something like "based on the standard rate in this city for my experience level, I would want to be around $X amount per hour". As for bringing it up, I probably wouldn't. If you are already in the interview, then you are spending that time doing the interview whether you know or not. I would wait until you receive an offer or are asked for a 2nd interview.

I have used web quests, but I have found that the kids researching their choice of topics and creating Slides containing information and pics results in more students participating. Recently they researched heraldry for the Medieval Era and reproduced either a family crest that they found or created their own personal crest. Anyone have other activities they use?

My husband just received a job offer on an opportunity he is really excited about. It would be great for his career and they are giving the 15% jump in base he asked for, however they won’t share what the target bonus amount would be. It’s an executive director position, so I would assume it’s a decent target bonus, but without that in writing it could honestly be a gift basket at the end of the year. Is it a red flag for them to not share this? His total comp could be less at this new job…

I received a job offer from company A and am currently negotiating salary. I have an interview with company B next week and know that they offer a higher base pay. There’s no guarantee that I will be offered a job at company B but my gut is telling me that company B would be a better fit for me. Should I accept the offer from company A, continue interview process with company B and then rescind my offer with company A if company B offers me a job? Will I be burning bridges?
