How do you find a great remote support role? I am in person now, and at 54, I know people balk at my age and figure I'm too close to retirement. Not the case. I have 22 years in multiple capacities in regular and executive support. I'd love to at least find something hybrid or remote, but all I see out there are from recruiting firms and I'm a bit leery about those.

I'm full on remote in a supporting role. I'd much rather be hybrid, though. With full remote, I feel detached from the team. My only connection with them is through Teams and emails. I feel like I would be more "in the know" in terms of what is going on and establish better connections with the team. I've never even met most of them!

Thats just me. To each his own. Remote jobs are getting hard to find now. Even hybrid! Where I live, most companies want you in the office 5 days a week! Good luck!

My position is 95% remote and I go in monthly for team meetings, travel for leadership conference or special meetings. I’m in multiple zoom meetings weekly and don’t feel remote if that makes sense. I’m in my late 50s and was hired last year for context.

It is tough economy now and remote roles especially are very hard to come by. I know because I'm in the search myself. I still apply to remote roles here and there, but truthfully finding something hybrid and or fully on site is probably more likely. I will have to say though no matter what version you are seeking, it is very challenging as I have many years of experience and skills as do others like yourself and I am having a very difficult time finding the right opportunity. Best of luck to you.

I don’t know how much it is hindered by your age. Remote roles are just hard to find right now for all of us. I’m turning 40 this year and I can’t find remote work.

I’m in an interesting dilemma. Very interested in leaving my company, but I am also going through IVF. I know most new jobs require a year wait before you can go on maternity leave. Does anyone know a great company to work for that does not require this? Obviously, I’m getting a bit ahead of myself, but if this works, I don’t want to accept a job and not be paid for maternity leave because I am doing this solo. Appreciate all the help!

Hi Everyone, I’m looking for advice. Right now I’m currently facing a hard decision. I’ve been at my work for 5 months as an HR assistant and have been given the opportunity to take on the Executive Assistant role. I’m in my early 20’s and still unsure what career path I want to take. I know I want to keep moving up and doing more but again, not sure where I want to be. I’d appreciate your thoughts and advice from your experiences along with pros/cons on either position. Anything would help!

Looking to get a bit of insight on breaking into tech working as an executive assistant after working for BigLaw for 20+ years.

I've been applying to tech companies for executive assistant positions - in particular, remote work positions - and I have yet to get a nibble.

I'm extremely tech savvy and have a lot of initiative but I am afraid that these companies are put off by how long I've been working assuming that I am a middle-aged woman that is not able to go with the flow.

Hello, after doing some research I believe I’m being underpaid. About 4 months ago HR did a market analysis for my role. They bumped my salary for about $2k. I’m a mid-level Executive assistant with 6 years of experience and currently supporting 5 executives at a fortune 50 company. One C level and 4 Vice Presidents. I’m currently making $61,000 with bonus included. Based on my research I should at least be making $71,400. I have a check in with my boss tomorrow and I am asking for a raise.
