How do you keep finance insight consistent when the story evolves week to week? I’ve learned to anchor on drivers, not outcomes.

Time is your best investment tool…. Week to week means nothing.

Agree

I often think about Charlie Munger advising investors not to pay much attention to the noise in the market. His quote that comes to mind is, "The big money is not in the buying and the selling but in the waiting." Of course, he lived into his nineties, and we don't all have that broad a time frame. But the point still stands, you can't let yourself be discomposed by every little tremor that comes along.

Nice

There are consistencies to still focus on. Same song, different dance at the end of the day or week.

Makes sense

We recently sleep trained our 7 month son. He went from waking up multiple times during night and taking only 30 minute naps 3 times during day (most cases nursed to sleep or rocked to sleep or took a drive) to sleeping 12 hours at night without interruption and two 2 hour naps and one 45 minutes nap during day. We both love that he is getting enough sleep and well rested on one hand. On the other hand, we are now wondering if he is sleeping way too much.. contd…

Need career advice. Trying to break into a finance role, preferably an Analsyt role but I have no transferable experience. I worked as a mortgage loan officer (which is sales) for 2 years after college, but since mortgage is such a niche industry, no hard skills transfer and have no relevant undergrad internships unfortunately. I know I can essentially get any sales job I want in finance IE: financial advisor etc. but don’t want to be stuck in sales forever. Any advice?
