Job-Hunting reach-out to VC from previous fundraising effort for own startup
I have e-mail archive from 1y ago of my reach-out to 65 VCs in London: we had video calls, they might remember me still, who knows.
I want to send a reply/forward message to the same e-mail thread from abc@gmail.com, saying that I am looking for roles within their VC firm. Is that a good idea?
Or shall I just start new email thread and mention how I know them?

That's not uncommon, for new hires to be brought in at a comparable salary. I would recommend checking other positions similar to yours and see the salary range. Most likely yes, you are underpaid. That's why they say people who change employers every couple of years make more than someone who's been with 1 company. Not many companies honor loyalty. If they don't want to increase your salary, see if there are other areas (more PTO, stock ownership etc) they can compensate you.

Played for sure!
Our pay ranges are pretty compact. Seems like new or old people in the same position make about the same amount. The difference only is noticeable between positions
I'm not sure if you're getting played, but I would definitely ask for a salary audit. Especially considering the cost of living increases and inflation. It's possible that you're making less than people with your experience and education in your area.
The best way to find out is by looking around jobs in your area and see what they are offering. I've noticed that salaries in insurance aren't going up as quick as they used to, but new hires are still getting a bigger bonus than loyal employees are getting in raises.
