I’d definitely start talking to partners you trust for guidance about the path to partnership, and maybe start expanding those convos to practice group leadership depending how those go. You don’t want to walk away without really knowing what you’re walking away from. Typically the associate initiates partnership talk, it’s not unusual you haven’t heard anything especially as a 5th year.

I practiced before recruiting, and made the move out of practice due to a number of reasons, but one of them was that I was a 6th year associate and Partnership talks hadn't commenced.
There are firms that start potential Partnership talks at Year 5, either at the start or during the performance review. There are also firms that don't start that talk til later. I have had some firms tell me they do this so that way they keep the attorney "chasing that carrot" to the point that it will remove them from several lateral opportunities (i.e., outside of the traditional and preferred 2-5 year window).
Keep in mind, if your pain points persist beyond this year it could be difficult to lateral, and it will be even more challenging if you become partner and don't have a portable book.
I just want to say that 5 year seems the best time to do a lateral if that work
