A friend of mine has recently received an offer from Mastek. His only(primary) concern before joining any organization is the job security that comes with it. I would therefore like to know to what extent is one's job secure at Mastek? Thanks in advance...

UBS If I had to move within the company to a different location , how does it work? For example if I move from low cost of living area to high cost of living area does the company re-evaluate the base salary within USA? Or do they come back and mention its your family requirement since your partner is located and you are moving ?Suggestions or experiences any !

market rate for a consultant =/= market rate for a developer
Or you are a developer for an ERP at a consulting firm. Granted those are 90% located in India, but there are thousands of SAP developers working for major consulting firms.
I feel you. I’m 5 years out from undergrad working as a Consultant at Accenture Federal making $95K. My friend working as a receptionist (not to knock it, just recognizing it is typically not a highly technical role) is getting reached out to by recruiters with offers in the six figures. I think Accenture is really behind - it’s all over fishbowl!
Thank you, PwC 1. You’re completely right! I wish I knew when applying. I was not made aware that AFS pays less than LLP and is difficult to transfer out of until I was on the job, unfortunately. Thank you for the offer to refer me to PwC! I’m reach out if I see something :)
Google 1, thanks for that insight! How did you make the transition to Big Tech? Were you recruited? Or you applied to Google directly? Any tips on how to identify roles that are a good fit for former consultants?

I don’t think consulting companies are shafting tech folks. I just think it’s supply/demand. You’ve got to really separate yourself from the incoming college hires which there’s a glut of.
It depends on the expectations of your role. In consulting you get the biggest jumps by moving up levels. I don’t know ACN’s levels, but to make 165k, I’m assuming you would have to be in a (at least) semi-manager type role. Your new company I’m sure is not tiered like that.
Also goes, both ways. If you were completely killing it at ACN and became a manager quickly and had some hot skills, I’m sure you might have hit 185K - 200K.
Switch companies after your second year and you'll see a big increase in your pay.
Depends on how hot the market is for your technology in tech consulting. I’m a little over 2 YOE and almost at 200K base.
wow what is your technology?
Mine was the opposite, doubled my salary coming into consulting and now I’m leaving back to industry with a slight bump. All in one year.
depends on the technology? I am fairly high as a tech consultant.
I agree. I’m at 2.5 YOE and 200K.
Hmm I’m 3.5 and I’m at 105. Still feel kind of underpaid but I don’t think my skills/role can compare to a software engineer.
This lmao
I’m an ERP consultant with 3 YOE at 125K base.
