Got messaged by a C3 . ai recruiter. Read that wlb is bad and that the interview process is absurdly long, but the Glassdoor reviews are 4.2 and can't find actual hours worked posted by anyone. How's the culture really? I'd be aiming for DS consulting, something more functional but with DS/ML concepts as my differentiator.

Googling is just part of the regular workflow.

I’m a data engineer and I google the simplest syntax coz why memorize it rather focus on the task at hand or bigger picture

Also- make use of your org's learning portal and take courses from time to time?
As with any skill, you practice to stay sharp, be it through your day-to-day work or by working on it on the side (side projects are good, something where you're getting code review is better).
If your goal is to maintain a base level of proficiency, being comfortable with standard data structures and algorithms, and being able to write idiomatic Python, are a must. Do a LeetCode problem or two a week or something.
Just had to look up .strip() today
