In my experience working alongside them it's competitive, but of course, you'll almost certainly be focused on government work, particularly federal government/VA. They are much better than Salesforce at this niche specifically, which isn't to say there aren't good people @ Salesforce. Accenture, as with all things, seems bigger than the rest, and a mix of quality in terms of projects and resources.
I have a clearance, am an Army vet, and actually worked for BAH 7-8 years ago in IT strategy on DoD projects—seems like a good fit; was curious how their compensation compared to SF though.
I agree with TA1, I’ve worked at AFS/GPS (Accenture and Deloitte federal practices)
Booz compensation is actually similar to both consulting firms for Salesforce resources. I’ve had multiple offers for all the consulting firms throughout the years and compensation wise it’s close. I took external offers and jumped around to get my salary up (started at 60k now I’m at 215k). AFS has a good ESPP (15% discount), Deloitte has good benefits if you’re in the core model (4 months maternity/paternity),Booz has the best culture IMO (a bit more employee focused.. long leash on bench [6 months or so], had free 2 weeks of PTO for people who got covid or had to take care of someone with covid). Overall your experience will be project dependent (co-workers/clients)
I have multiple friends that work at Salesforce and their compensation is about 20-30% higher in general
