How does everyone explain a gap in their resume? Are you honest, or do you try to fudge the truth to make yourself look better? Because I have an 18-month gap on my resume and I've been pretending like I've spent that working as a freelance contractor instead of being upfront. Not sure how many hiring managers are buying it.
