How "done" is everyone with work this year? Technically, I'm "working" through Dec 24th and back in the office that Friday and only getting New Year's Day off. But mentally, I'm just running out the clock. I plan on getting exactly nothing done until sometime in January. My company should try being a little more generous with our holiday schedule.

Not really done, considering how many people have been laid off this year. If I were still in management I would drop the "just be happy to have a job" line.

Sounds like you have time to prepare for whatever is coming in January.
