How hard to get an interview in UK MBB after 2 years at Tier 2 in NA (ATK, OW, etc…) Resume enough, or referral needed?

What programming languages do y'all know? What's the most relevant one to learn to be more relevant when looking into exit ops?

I had a second round(which was a final round as well) of an interview couple of days back. But yet to receive any feedback on it. Normally how much time hr team takes for a revert? Waiting makes me feel anxious.

Fully regret completing my MBA at a non target even tho I got into some M7s, mainly for ego reasons. My dilemma… I am an injury adjuster at a carrier experiencing high inventory that’s barely manageable. A competitor offered a higher salary and manageable workload. BUT, I would like to get into underwriting. I applied for UW position w/ a different carrier and they’ve made an offer. It’s lower than my current salary and significantly lower than what I’d make by taking the first offer. Do I take the high salary and stay in claims or go for UW in hopes it will be best in long run?

I asked for a raise in April 2022 after three years with my company. Positive feedback since day one. Learned I was making less than peers at other asset managers in NYC with less experience (14 years). Latest conversation was with HR about how they calculate salaries. I’ve been asked to provide examples how my role has changed since I started to justify the increase. Is this normal? Or is this just their way of denying my request?

Hi all,

After the final interview, HR reached out and said they would like to extend an offer. HR gave a ball park of 135k - 145k base with about 15k in sign-on equity and 20k annual bonus.

After a couple of days, HR person came back with with 125k base and 20k annual bonus. No sign-on equity anymore. What should I do given that these numbers seem way lower than the initial range provided? HR claimed it’s because of “market conditions”.

However, tech consulting is definitely not my dream job. I want to get into data analytics, and I have an offer from a big company to do just that.
