Can I ask SPG ambassador to help on my Marriott reservations?

Just got a “Sheraton Vacations” special offer to basically get 5 nights at a Florida property for $250.

I read the fine print and other than a need to be flexible in terms of when you book, it doesn’t seem like there is a catch.

Anyone familiar with this “promotion” and what the downside might be? Or are they just looking to drive revenue to their other areas (restaurants, spa, etc) with a cheap room?

I am about 100 nights away from reaching the lifetime grandfathered premier access, not sure if I can make it by year end. No longer on travel projects. Any tips? Any new updates from Marriott?

Can someone explain the Marriott status process to me? I am one year away from hitting life time status but doesn’t look like I am going to hit the 75 nights this year to keep titanium. (Cont. below)

Almost 4 weeks in and my status is still wrong. It was correct for the first ~1 day and then bumped down a level. Shouldn’t be hard as all my nights last year were SPG. This is ridiculous.

Having to call Marriott to apply a suite night award to an SPG hotel on a reservation you made before the merger and combining accounts proves to you how much is still SO WRONG with this merger.

Best credit card for travel?!? And, why? Never really used airport lounges.
