35 Female NYC, 🥳
I've been trying to update my resume with my last 5 years of experience and I'm completely overwhelmed. At this point I just need to hire a resume writer. I need someone who can talk to me about my experience and actually write the resume, not just edit an existing resume. Does anyone have a recommendation? Is ResumeSpice worth the money?
Okay, who did this... 😂

Isn’t 60/hr basically 120k salary? Or 72k after tax?
That’s also assuming you’re booked 100% of the time.
Because if you’re a good freelancer, you don’t do hourly you do a day rate of min 600/day
They have guarantors… Rich parents or grandparents.
It’s tight but manageable. Unfortunately a lot of people do it for less & even with a kid or two. But I agree it’s very challenging. The rate range is theoretically not terrible if one is booked 90% of the time but who is. If you consider leaving the city for lower Westchester or NJ you’d avoid paying city tax. The trick is to have a range of gigs throughout the year - some will pay ok, others will pay amazing. What kind of work do you/ what do you design?
