Servers here are entitled. I would have called the manager and taken that tip down to 0.
Hell yes they are. I'll do that next time, hoping there isn't one
I have no fears on giving 0 tip when there is no service provided. And if I give a tip is based on the quality. I dont mind doing 10% or 12% if its bad and going all the way to 25% if its good
If we dont tip differently they dont serve differently
Thanks for sharing
The tipping shit is out of hand and more so in Miami than in other places I’ve been. Suggestions are at like 22, 25, 28% some places.
At a bar, I tip a dollar for a beer or wine, two or maybe three for a cocktail. 18-20% for good service for a meal at a sit down restaurant.
That's wild! It's like we can't eat out anymore.

It's all the tourists they think they can get away with it because you might never be back
How do they make out you're a tourist?
I tip btwn 18-20%. Wish I had thicker skin to tip less when the service is below average.
How about at non-restaurant establishments, how much do y’all tip? I get tipping at salons (nail and hair) but I went to a laser place recently and they asked for tip at check-out - is this normal now?
That's a good question. Does anyone have the answer? :D
I was taught to always check the bill first - most places include the tip there, so you shouldn’t need to tip.
I always tip 20% for good service, if the service is absolutely terrible then I’ll tip 15% but never less than that
I apply that rule unless is bad that I don’t want to come back again and if that is the case is 0
It’s Miami, they demand 20% for doing bare minimum. That’s why most restaurants have a mandatory 18% tip
