No advice except don’t take the NYC transplant jokes too seriously. We mess with everyone down here lol

Naw we serious about them
My girlfriend and I moved from NYC in July. She’s originally from Broward but I was born and raised in NYC and had never lived anywhere else except during college. It is definitely different here but in my experience so far I’m loving it. I think so many people (& businesses) have moved here from NYC/Chicago/SF in recent years that it’s created a mixed culture between the “go go go” of NYC and the more laid back lifestyle here. I find the balance to be great. I work in corporate law so my hours can be loooooong but just stepping onto my balcony or going for a walk around Midtown (where we live) is so much more calming than it was doing the same in Chelsea in Manhattan lol.
Culturally so different. Definitely for the best though. In New York, I felt like everyone was living all over each other. Both cities are plenty expensive, at least in this one I can see the sun.
What is it you miss the most about NYC?
City energy, history, architecture, vibrant neighborhoods that are not just about partying etc. being able to walk to places.
I moved here two years ago from NYC. Culturally very different but I really do like waking up to sunshine and blue sky.

You have NYC style pizza at Joes pizza on 26th in wynwood, a chopped cheese food truck on 29th st and 1st ave. Feeling better now ?
PWC1. Nah. It sucks. Heard that from many too. This is the funny thing about opinions. You know. We’re all different.
Moving is a huge adjustment no matter what! How long were you in NYC? My best advice is to give yourself time, try to find places/activities/people you enjoy, and slowly your new Miami life will come together. Do you have any friends or family here already?
Same feeling here. I think in terms of family it is def more convenient in Miami. But I do miss my life in NYC, it is too chill here hahah
