How much attention do you pay to annual reports in the industry? Are they something you ever stop to read? I can’t say I ever would have caught this, if not for the marketing and advertising press. “Advertising giant WPP cuts diversity references from annual report.”

I tend to read them as I do find them interesting, even if they are disheartening at times. That is especially true this year. I'm glad it's being reported on, but I can't say I'm surprised that companies are making these decisions. Things stink right now in a very big way.
That's not too surprising. With the US DOJ threatening companies who have diversity programs, companies are going to want to scrub their own publications. It's horrendous, but that's the atmosphere we're living in.

Exactly. This is the world we live in and we have to accept it. We can decide to fight back or go on about our lives. Sucks but you’re exactly right.

I should pay more attention to annual reports. Staying ahead of the curve it’s important in this industry and being valuable in our roles. Anytime I see “diversity” and “cuts” in a sentence I know what to expect. Not surprised with any organizations making cuts to DEI today because they were never serious about it.
