I have been an elementary reading specialist for 8 years and before that I was a first grade teacher for 10 years. Thinking of making a jump to middle school reading specialist. Any advice? Thoughts?

I am currently working in as Oracle JDE an S&D consultant for last 2 years, how can I make a switch to a profile of Oracle SCM cloud. Since recruiters are looking for the candidate with relevant experience only theoretical knowledge doesn’t help they need a candidate with practical Experience who has worked on an project So can anybody help me to understand how can one switch the technology from JD Edwards to SCM Cloud ?

Hi , I recently started preparing for " data analyst" course. I have masters degree in computer science and 2 years experience as business analyst. Currently I'm on a career break of almost 7 years and trying to get back into IT as a data analyst now.

Deciding on a career path

I feel like my brain works like a consultant, and I would enjoy consulting, but I also looove all things finance & investing. While I don’t necessarily have extensive experience in the field (most of what I know is self taught, my major is accounting), I want to get involved in it somehow and learn more.

I currently work in audit, I’m not sure what exit opportunities are an option for me for the investing/finance industry. Feel like chances are are slim. Any advice?

I am looking for ideas for a high school intervention class with students reading at PP-4th. I am a brand new teacher and have never taught intervention but we are extremely short staffed. I inherited the class mid-last semester and the former teacher had no framework whatsoever. I'm pulling grade level texts and trying to work on reading fluency and comprehension but don't feel like what I'm doing is effective, and the students are not very engaged. Hi! We just adopted ARC reading curriculum, and I am soooo excited! Is anyone else using it? I would love to hear what you like/dislike about it!

My principal allows other teachers to place students in my classes without any input from me including data or plain old common professional courtesy. What would you do if that happened to you?

We have a large unused professional library that includes a variety of authors, topics, and lots of the scholastic teaching resource books. Most are more than 5 years old, some much older. Some multiple copies of titles that were book studies over the years. No one is using these books and we need the space. I hate to just dump them in a trash bin. After setting them out for people to pick through at school, what can be done with these materials?

What word study program does everyone use? K-2, 3-5, different ones? The same? Pros and cons. We use Fundations K-2 and Words Their Way 3-5 and seeing some gaps. Thanks!
