I have interview scheduled and completed from Commonwealth Bank Bangalore location. All technical rounds cleared.
When I called HR i got a surprise answer..
They mentioned the position which I have intervied is different than the salary rem ranges. And my current salary is higher than position what they have got and asked for approval for rem ranges changes..
Is any one faced this? Ideally HR should know expectation and allocation before scheduling intervjew..
I am bit confused with commonwealt

At 30 in 2019 my base was $110K but was in a sales role and crushed it that year and made $306K in no income tax state. Was sweet. 2020…less sweet
How did you get into partner sales?
sometimes I wonder Fish bowl is only for Big 4 consultants bragging about their eye popping salaries at young age ..of course good for you guys ..but there are others in this world who make normal market ranges ..40 yrs old …Sr M 170k , 33k bonus, ESPP, long term incentive plan with 4 year vesting ..of course no comparison with the huge numbers that is being talked about here …You are doing well my friend at 30 live your life & enjoy your time at this young age than over thinking
I agree. SO MANY of these young individuals talking about massive salaries are also the large majority that tend to experience burnout in their careers. No time for happiness or life outside of work.
I am 30, and I accepted a job that was 25k less because
A- it wasn’t in CA
B- the team dynamics and the life first, work second mentality was A++ at this company.
I took a career path change at 26, went full time into getting my masters and just graduated last year. I will tell you—- I am SO FREAKING HAPPY with this new job, new city, and new life.
It’s a hard pill to swallow (especially when you have student loans) but the saying “money doesn’t buy happiness” is REAL
75K. I graduated college at 29 lol. Just hit 6 figures at 32.
All good!
$194k base + 40k bonus. Turn 30 in may
Which level?
Started 30 @ $120k. Ended 30 at $160k+
At 30, I was making 65k base with a tiny annual bonus of $5k. Comparison is the thief of joy and there is no real correlation you’ll be able to drive from these answers
Ha, was making 72.5k at 30 but no bonus — but got you beat! HAHA YESSSSSS
Around 80k
164k base, 24k bonus give or take. I rarely work more than 30 hours a week
Didn’t mean to hurt your feelings. I wasted a year and a half in Deloitte GPS moving my mouse around 90% of the time. Wasn’t challenged and didn’t learn anything so it was a wake up call when i joined another firm and started doing work
$90k
85k working in industry
Age 30, Associate Software Dev with Masters degree making $123k
Nice! Which city?
135k
$110k at 30 with $5k bonus
Hopefully $180-$200
154k
Was at Capco earning that salary a little less than a year ago but have since left for a bank for a significant base increase
$177k
110k plus bonus 12% but 33 yr old
$61- entry level (took a career path change)
Planning to job-hop over the next few years to bump myself over $100
200k base at 27 turning 28 soon 😖
2019 is when I was 30. Senior consultant at a different firm making $129k base. Now I'm at $180k base. Super cool to see that others were/are earning more since that tells me I've got plenty of room to grow.
