Has anyone asked for a pay raise for the increased amount of responsibilities that was not originally asked or discussed in job description. It's been over 1yr and I have few certs. I made impact on my team. They value what I bring to them, but workloads increased more than my main role. I think it's fair to ask for a better pay raise. What do you think? How do you provide positive feedback on very bad writing? Is saying “good effort” and then providing a few focus areas for improvement enough? I find I spend a lot of valuable grading minutes trying to find something positive to say, and in the end that positive feedback is disingenuous and I doubt it’s very meaningful as such. But I am constantly hearing that we must provide positive feedback and not make the students “feel bad.” What is your approach?
