How much do litigators use AI? I feel like it’s replacing the exercise of judgment, making our brains smooth. Agree? Disagree?

To an extent; true. Bc some of the big judgment issue require struggling through the problem. AI reduced that workload and rep. In some instances, it’s needed when your cognitive load is already too high and tired and you know where you need to get to. Then AI is wonderful at jumping the brain drained slump.

as long as u use judgement to finetune the ai results, you are fine

Feel OP’s question points to the direction in them exercising their judgment in a questionable way.

I use it every day. Yesterday I had it draft a table comparing two sets of rules to tell me what changes in the update and to draft a brief. It did the comparison well. The brief was okay. It used the right law and made some decent arguments. I had to spend time redoing some of it but it probably cut my total time in half. I wouldn’t use it for complex briefs, but it’s fine for short, run-of-the-mill stuff.

Yup I use it every day as a supplemental tool to cut busy work like summarizing things or drafting inspiration. I would never trust it for substantive work.

How does one tell their boss (owner of the company) that you are burnt out? The sheer volume of work is exhausting and I haven’t taken a true vacation as we are a small company so if something urgent comes to my email I feel like I must respond. I was given an additional title and more responsibilities last year as well but only a 3% raise for it.

I am a career changer on mo 4 of a 6 mo sourcer/researcher contract that I’m not sure will be renewed due to team re-organizing. I have 5 YOE basically in an HR generalist role at a company that didn’t have an official HR function, building systems from the ground up. I also have my SHRM-CP. I am looking for a perm, remote HR generalist or program manager position and getting no traction despite a well-reviewed resume. What do I do? Should I go to grad school?

Question for funds folks, since no one is around to answer any questions and I can't seem to find this answer anywhere. Is it based on reputational risk or from a sales perspective in case someone rejects both funds, any other issues? Thanks!

What can a junior associate do about a mid-level that constantly asks questions about things they were cc’d on, sends dozens of piecemeal emails and is generally just super high strung and needs everything right away?? Beginning to consider going in house (4th, corp) - I really haven’t thought about what I want, partly because I’m not sure what’s out there/attainable. Is it a bad idea to start by applying to a couple positions that interest me and seeing where that gets me? I’ll of course prep for the interviews but am afraid to burn potential bridges if I ultimately decline because I’m still figuring things out.
