How much is everyone paying for rent right now? (Where are you located btw) Because my apartment complex is raising its prices and now wants us to pay $3,300+ for our apartment in the downtown area.

I was paying $3,900 in downtown Bellevue for a 1 bedroom, plus $200 for parking, $250 for utilities. I was making about 11k a month take home and it all just evaporated. I moved to my vacation home, paid it off, and now I pay property taxes of $1800 a year. It feels so much better putting that money in retirement instead of being farmed out by corporate landlords.

1875 for a 1 bed plus den 925sqft with in unit laundry and parking in Magnolia. The catch is its basement level without a ton of direct light. Love it though.

Before I bought my condo in February 2021, I had a roughly 1,000 square foot, 2 BR/2 BA apartment in The Lakes area of Kent.

I checked how much the rent is currently for my old apartment, and it’s going for about $2200 per month, PLUS carport rent and water/sewage/garbage (arranged through the complex to pay to a 3rd party).

I would estimate that including a carport and those utilities, it would be closer to $2400-2500/month these days.

I pay about $1k per month less for my condo on Easthill with all that included. I’m glad I bought when I did.

$3k 1 bed/bath and den in Roosevelt

3.7k 2/2 in SLU

How many bedrooms?? 3300 seems extremely high to me if it's not at least 2 bedrooms. I'm paying 2.8k in Roosevelt and feel like I'm the last person in the city paying less than 3k

2/2 for 3250 in Ravenna

3.5k for 2/2 in Capitol Hill

Love to see all the Ravenna / Roosevelt! Have been in that area almost 20 years (I’m old)

I’m paying $4k for 4 bed / 3 bath house in Ravenna, just north of the ravine (not far from Roosevelt). Mortgage is from 2017 but refinanced in 2020 to get a lower rate (2.45%….basically got the exact bottom. Rate for a 15yr at same time was 1.99)

When I see these rents for condos that are 1/2 beds…crazy. Nice part about mortgage is it doesn’t go up!

Well inflation is killing these days as for me just get multiple streams of income so you can deal with this that my opinion though

$1750 utilities included for a 700sqft 1B1B in east lake 300 yards from the water.

Whenever i have a big deadline, my body goes into a panic mode where my energy immediately goes to figuring out how I’ll get something done well and on time. Outwardly, I don’t seem stressed so no one notices but actually I usually feel like I have a cold: fatigue, headache, sore throat, sinus infection. When a task is done, i stop feeling like crap. It’s been like this since law school. Any tips on managing stress or moving towards doing good work without my body shutting down lol?
