Not rare at all in most industries at director/vp level
I think you can get up to that at most places. The difference is you won’t be doing that at age 25-30
Yup - joining the 40 club and want to cap the madness and smell the roses (life) more

Not rare I’m at 200 base , 20% bonus + equity

Depends on your level. There’s a lot of opportunity. CPG has decent pay when you get into upper levels, as do companies like BP. Additionally Microsoft and Adobe pay very well, unless Microsoft is now the M in MANGA.
Mentor
You should be able to get that at most major companies, look at director and VP roles.
I’m mid-level (8 yoe at 29) making that much. Companies with VC funding or massive growth tend to pay more. Jumped 3 times in the past two years to get this income so I’ll be at this company for awhile 😬
I have been risk averse in my career choices given single earner with family status

Senior Manager in e-commerce here with that. Pretty sure my boss (director) makes quite a bit more.
Add Mastercard to that list - Director and VP level will get you well into the top of that range and higher in the case of VP. Plus the bonus structure at those levels ranges from 25-35% plus RSUs. Look ‘‘em up, it’s a good place to work.
Non-FAANG tech can pay that easy.
Mentor
EY, just curious, any reason for such the high base salary number without taking equity / RSUs into account?
There's tons of smaller to medium tech companies that will pay 250k+ TC but 25%% of that is stock that vests every month or quarter.
Mentor
Pretty much all tech companies have equity as a significant part of comp. It's usually pretty liquid unless you're talking pre ipo
Coach
Many big tech will give that. I know you said non FAANG but still look into tech

I make that as a director at Fortune 100 Retail Company
Not rare at all.
Incredibly common in non-FAANG tech sales.
Non-FAANG pm too. Although sales reps have a much high earnings potential
High performing SMs will make that in corporate strategy at my F100 firm. Directors will make 200k+ base + 25-30% bonus and maybe some stock
This is on the low end of Director level comp at my medium size industrial goods firm. And at many other companies. We’ve hired Manager level consultants for these roles. I doubt anyone would get hired for this here with less than 8 YOE. 10+ is more common because it requires sufficient industry and functional experience/ expertise. Depending on the role it may also require experience leading teams of a certain size (usually from pre or post consulting work since consulting teams are typically small).
Thanks for the input everyone, much appreciated. Looking to pivot to the banking industry - FO roles (almost everyone is a VP/equivalent) for the first time in career (~15 years of total experience) and finding some resistance on the fixed comp side; mostly due to variable (bonus) pay which is being sold as a factor for comparatively lower fixed.
