Managers who make a big deal about who gets credit or blame can create an awful atmosphere. Even if someone performs poorly, it's better to handle that without having it undermine the team's performance. Of course, some managers enjoy putting people on the spot and they thrive on the drama. That kind of poor leadership just undermines performance and causes people to move on as soon as they can.

Leadership issue. You have to recognize the wins and privately and proactively address the losses. The only time there is a possibility to recover it is if somebody new comes in. I’ve never seen a manager change their ways, not to say it’s impossible, but I’ve not witnessed it.

I'm at a smaller MM bank. My original goal was to start here and hustle through into a BB, but I wasn't expecting to really like the people (my team, my direct seniors). I think the work we do probably wouldn't differ a crazy amount (we close deals, just smaller of course) and I'm wondering if I really have a reason to try to move into a bigger bank.

Curious to know what you've seen as working to non working dollars split in Canadian agencies. Reference any specific brands (or categories) if you can. I'm used to seeing the conventional 15-20% split for non working (production dollars only, not including media budget, agency fees) but are those days gone now with the takeover of digital (vs traditional) ad placements?
