I am a few months into my audit role at a big 4, I interned with the firm. After working, I think I may be more suited for advisory. I still plan on getting my CPA but I am more of a people person and want to come up with solutions side of things. I have no advisory experience technically. Could I still pivot & land an advisory role at a different firm?

Everyone thinks they're more suited for advisory LOL

You should definitely try to obtain your CPA. The job market isn’t the best. Maybe once you pass the CPA the job market will improve.

Hello all, i have. A question regarding compensation for a lateral move. I just received a job offer for an UA position from a competing cyber insurance carrier for $70,000 + bonuses. This job will be based out of San Francisco. I currently make $30/hour for the same role in Chicago, after OT it’s about $60,000. Do you think it would be wise to accept the offer? Thoughts in general?

Journalism is the best job in the world but I feel like people are less likely to take my work seriously because I am female. So it's like they automatically think the only things I would be good at writing about are fluffy little human interest stories. I'm just a reporter like everyone else. Is there some way I can tell my supervisor that yes, I do like those stories, but I like being a serious reporter even more?
