After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

Well sh*t...what’re y’all doing?

Welcome to the land of eating disorders. It sucks :(
Yah well, thats how my anorexia began years ago. I almost died (doctors gave me 2 more months to live) before I got therapy and won my fight. Back to normal for several years now... but started with fitness and diet that stuck with me bc i felt i could control something while my life was getting outta control. Please be careful and reach out to a professional as soon as possible! Sticking to a diet might seem strong. Being healthy and enjoying life is a lot stronger!
I’m so glad you are healthy now, and were brave and strong enough to get help! Congratulations on your healthy living 🙌🏼
It’s good to know what’s healthiest for us and follow it most of the time, but when fear becomes a factor with food (aside from allergies) it’s usually a good time to talk with a counselor.
Hello. Former state/national non-fat level power lifter (I say non-fat because some power lifters eat, eat, eat to maximize gains while I prefer being able to see my abs and being burly). I used to have this problem, especially during my peak. I’ve learned a few things. Track your macros and fit in foods you like! I still weigh my foods, but if I want a beer and I have the room, I’ll have a beer. It’s a problem to cut out any joyful foods, plus you’ll notice you preform better (maybe it’s a mental thing, I don’t know). Follow the 80/20 rule, 80% healthy 20% eh. Whether you apply it to daily food or days of the week, up to you. Also, carb timing is important. Want some high carb, processed foods? Eat it after a workout with protein, your body needs it anyways. Keep your fiber up and you can avoid huge insulin spikes. These are off the top of my head, but just enjoy life! You’re not competing, you can enjoy food, look good, and have great gains, I promise

This is great, gracias!

Sorry, can’t relate. I’m the opposite, food and alcohol taste so good, why suffer?? I’m sure you have a nice body though lol

It’s an indicator of disordered eating, so it’s not really funny.

I’m the same way, OP :( I’ve been sticking to a pretty strict diet (I’m also super into fitness, and I’m trying to cut rn) and also doing intermittent fasting, 18:6 protocol.
I ate a piece of bread during my fasting window last night at 11 PM and was so angry at myself. I ruined my fast AND went 100 calories over my limit. I know that’s so negligible and stupid, but God, I was so upset.
I think part of it is, eating is the only thing I feel like I can control right now, with everything going on in the world. The only thing i can control is how much I eat, what I eat, how much I exercise, etc.

Ahh that’s so true, the flip side is feeling in control of something whilst there’s so much crazy going on around me. Just wish I can enjoy a little without feeling guilty :(
As someone who’s a gym rat and powerlifter, think of a once a week cheat meal/day as a way to reward yourself for a job well done. Start by eating a semi-unhealthy meal on a cheat day, then gradually get unhealthier with it the next week. If it helps, try fitting that unhealthy meal into your macros. 1 unhealthy meal/day will not kill your physique or diet
I found that trying to stick to a strict, healthy diet all the time made me sort of miserable. You have one life - you can either die looking good and feeling miserable or die happy while still looking good/somewhat good

Have you not learned to like the healthier options? I’ve found that I crave the healthy options more now.
Chief
oh wow yeah that’s tough. I’ve been sticking to gin and soda, low-cal option, and can always mix it up with flavoured seltzers
You should definitely incorporate one day a week where you can eat whatever you want. One day doesn’t kill your healthy lifestyle and gives you the opportunity to eat all your favorite foods without feeling guilty!

Man I wish I can do this 😞 every time I eat something “unhealthy” even just for a small amount I feel like I have betrayed my diet
I think it’s ok to cheat on meals. There’re times where McDonald’s would have these 40 nuggets with 2 L fries for $12.49 on Ubereats...and I’d hop on that real quick.
It’s not responsible, and probably bad when comparing with my regular meal plan. But, we all need a break some time.
