I am a Non-US IMG. I’ve graduated from medical school for ~5 years, worked as a doctor for 3 years in the UK and have an MPH degree. I am applying for family medicine residency in the U.S as an older graduate(will try and take USMLE STEP1, 2, 3 before next year) and am aware that it’s incredibly hard to get in with my background. Would like your thoughts on where I can get experience and LORs for residency and anything I should consider or prioritize now to prepare my application.

Currently going to school for my cannabis certification but I rarely see any jobs that offer cannabis research.
