Do cover letters matter at all anymore?
HCL Technologies offer being delayed and recruiter keeps saying that there's a problem with their "Offer release portal system." I have already stated my issues with relocating until after I have the offer signed and ready. The project is supposed to start on the 19th and I'm supposed to join before, or on that date. It's already coming up soon and I don't have the official offer so that I can confidently start the relocation process. Has anyone else recently dealt with this?

After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

You are doing all the right things. This is a hard time to be job hunting, especially as a new grad. Yes, there are jobs to be found on job boards, but you are right to not rely on them 100%. Keep networking, keep cold contacting, and something will work out for you eventually. Best of luck OP.
Bear in mind, when someone posts a job or uses some personnel agency, they get back 10,000 resumes (thank you, internet). They go through the top 30-50, pick a few, phone some of those, and then interview the best couple. If those don't work out, they just get the next batch of 10,000 resumes, so 9950/10000 of that first batch were never even looked at. You need to have an all-out blitz, and it takes a lot of time (looking for a job is the hardest and most difficult job you'll ever have)
What you’re doing is fine. If you’re pressed for time, look at the larger corporations such as Morgan Stanley JP Morgan, Charles Schwab, Fidelity these companies are always hiring entry-level. Maybe one bit of advice locate a recruiter on LinkedIn for one of these companies and they will easily help you land an interview.
Doesn’t matter I been in banking for last 6 years and since I been off for a year the banks just turn their head and only hire those who are already working for a bank and go to another bank before their contract ends
