But really, unless you are specifically asked for one, then I don't bother. In fact, I didn't even need a resume for the last two jobs I got.
Nope. We no longer require it. And even if applicants pass their cover letters, we just focus more on their resumes.
Tbh I stopped and I still get interviews.
Not really, unless the role requires writing - in which case I would look closely at a writing sample and cover letter
No I do not ever include them. Unless a company specifically asks for a cover letter, they will not bother to take the time to read it. Its really just a waste of time and ink.
No, I have never written one and I certainly don't read them if someone submits them. I'm not looking for an author, I care about knowledge and experience
Cover letters require extra time. It's no longer necassary, in my opinion. I usually skip cover letters.
