I am an engineer who has primarily been in NPD in physical product. I live in the Midwest. I got laid off 3.5 weeks ago. Thankfully my husband still has a job but we are down to one income. At what point do you give up and consider relocating? My husband is hesitant to moving in case the new company would also go through a layoff right after we moved our lives and he has to find a job.
He thinks I am being desperate but I would rather find a job before I have a large gap in my resume.

Hello, first post here. Outside sales, merchant services/card processing. I’m primarily a welder but I work 4 10-hour shifts typically then I try sales the last three days. I’ve done it long enough to where I’m confident and comfortable going to new businesses, establishing some rapport with business owners. But it seems like a lot of businesses see this as a waste of time, even adding services and cutting costs. I guess either I’m looking for advice or considering not doing this anymore.
