Any EPS out there looking for an assistant or an intern? I have experience but making a switch from creative. Have no problem starting at the bottom just need a shot.
I have a huge crush on an recently-hired intern. I’m married and twice as old. I would never act on it. But.... swoon
Eagerly awaiting to hear back to W+K to see if I got I accepted into their internship https://media.giphy.com/media/W1l55MBz0C9he/giphy.gif
I just started working at a Digital Strategy Consulting Boutique firm but the company is in Europe and we work in another language entirely. I started off as an intern (8 months) and now I am working full time. I am trying to learn the language to be more interactive with the clients and in the meetings but it's super difficult. Should I switch or learn the language and stay here for another year? It's a small firm and the pay is not that great but good for beginners in the country. Any advice?
Out of curiosity, when do people take internship experience off their resume (in terms of years after college graduation)?
Can anyone help me land an internship in private equity. I go the University of Rhode Island and would love to send out my resume. Companies I’m interested in don’t have internship programs but I’m not giving up. Let me know if you can help and I’d love to send my resume.
As I think through my undergrad experience, I realized that I did nothing remarkable. “So few so” that I don’t know what to write for the essay. Many of my peers gained valuable leadership experiences at various clubs or organizations. But I only had a year-long IB internship. Now I am in consulting and that IB experience seems to be more irrelevant. How dare I compete with the other wonderkids?
Thought I was going to get an offer for an internship but I was told they went with a candidate that had more experience :/ Now I’m freaking out because it seems like a lot of agencies already have their interns for the summer. Are there any agencies that still have their applications open?
Anyone willing to refer me to google for an internship please? I am a computer/information science major at Cornell with a focus in human interaction and UX design and user experience with a business communication minor. I have internship experience in user research and design and application design.
I worked in consulting for a couple of years and am in my freshman year in B-school. Even though I had planned to try out some new sector in my internship, I seem to not find anything else as........
My sibling has an internship offer (an undergraduate student) for a satellite office of KPMG. Would anyone in the business tax division at KPMG be able to send me a message so I can ask a few questions?
Could use a graphic design/creative/content intern with photography and Adobe suite experience for retailer in NYC. College students send a message
I had an internship over the summer and have been trying to keep in touch with my mentor/supervisor cause I would want to work there again. They told me to keep in touch after several times... (cont)
I’m mentoring an intern who has general anxiety and is often nervous. It’s also tiring me out. How do I deal with it and encourage her to get out of her shell? (Context in comments)
Any tips on how to turn my summer internship into a full time offer? Been trying to get on as many engagements as possible but it's difficult with how slow it is during the summer.
I am currently a student, making an internship as a Functional SAP Consultant with interested in a career in Digital Transformation Consulting. I would like to know from your perspective and experience from where should I start? Skills needed and what kind of jobs I should focus on? Your answers will be highly appreciated!
My brother is graduating from DePaul in media/communications and, sadly, his internship was cancelled due to COVID. Thought I’d ask the bowl fam—any leads on internship/entry level positions?
Lol trump made his 404 page Hillary as president. Idc about politics but whatever intern came up with this is hilarious
Planning to apply to BCG. My buddy is an ‘Associate Director’ for BCG Platinion. Would a referral from him work if applying to BCG as a Generalist Consultant?
What do 1 hr live case studies entail? That seems very long to just do one case study. Do those typically have lots of printed materials to analyze or intensive questions on the business?
KPMG to Deloitte move worth it for 8% raise?
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
How many people’s jobs would you absorb before requesting your role be re-evaluated/leveled/comp adjusted? I am already doing one person’s job when we decided not to backfill them when they left and just got nominated to take over someone else’s responsibilities while they are out on a multi-month leave. I could handle this if I was an individual contributor but I also have a significant team I’m managing and the additional responsibilities are coming at their expense which is unfair to them.
In search of advice here: I have a hybrid background in design and management. I have an opportunity to join a team as a designer and am also getting traction on an application for account management. I feel comfortable and excited doing both. How can I decide on which avenue to take? Which is better for long term growth and $$? Both options are roughly same salary. One is fully WFH one is temp WFH with 2-3day in office. As a designer I know there will be more challenges.
I just got offered a relatively senior role at a competitor. They told me base and bonus. They said they wouldn't give me a physical offer letter until I accept. I do want to see if my current group gives me a counter offer. I feel like this puts in a bad spot, because I have two options 1) Go to my boss without a physical offer letter, which is risky, because I both have no proof, & they can pull it at any time or 2) Verbally accept, get the physical offer, and then go to my boss...which
Why are all the recruiters ghosting me? I have good experience in a skillset that they are recruiting for and (what in my opinion is) a reasonably good resume. Any tips?
My H1B visa (stamped) with my old employer is valid till September 2022, do I still need to get my new H1B stamped if I go visit my family in December? I am also married to a US citizen but we haven’t started the Green Card process yet.
Any book recommendations?
At my new job, we’re told to get 8 billable hours of work a day on our timesheet. Even when I thought I had a lot to work on, the most I could get was 5 hours. I’m super stressed about getting in trouble, even though I have actively asked for more work. I was unemployed for 9 months during this pandemic and I now I’m super afraid of losing my job again. Is this a normal practice? Idk how I’ll ever consistently have that much work.
Thoughts on Business Development, strategic partnership roles at Salesforce? Is this a good exit from strategy arm at a B4? How is comp and WLB?
I love my firm, but just got an offer to move firms for a bigger chunk of change and lower billable hours requirement. Logically, it makes sense to move, but I’m hesitant. Both firms seem great culture-wise. I am young and succeeding at my current firm. Any thoughts?
How are internal roles treated at Bain? Also, any ideas for compensation? Role is building out analytics platform. I am interested in the work but I’ve barely started out of undergrad. However i would jump for better comp 🤷♀️
Did your company give you a WFH stipend?
Google contacted me via LI about a strategy and operations role. I saw on LI that of my 30 business school friends who work at Google, 0 are in S&O. Why do you think this is the case? It could be random chance, but is S&O low paid, or otherwise unattractive for MBA grads for a different reason? 🤔
