Hi, I'm leaving Citi in 2 months. It's hard to make this decision. I have an offer from a small startup. In citi, my previous experience was not considered and was reskilled to different tech which is the reason for change.I don't like to exit citi. As I like the company so much. But considering my current knowledge,I am in the middle of the sea.I am afraid now that the new company's offer would be revoked due to this recession?Or can I take back my resignation in citi before the last working day.Is this wise decision?

I'm curious what the average salary is for an Associate Agent. I'm licensed & do everything after the sale is made as well as refer new business. I have 14 years in the industry but have been at the current company less than a year, so I know that plays a part as well. Anyone in a like-position by chance?State Farm Allstate Travelers

Im in the same boat…I don’t miss being an EA but Im interviewing for some EA roles that pay more than the L5 PM role. That’s the only reason for my consideration.
Interesting, are you interviewing outside Amazon? I thought the pay band was bigger for PM job family than EA.
Sound like you are just out of your comfort zone. Give it a few years. If you feel still the same. Then transition back. But career growth has some bumps along the way. Give it more time.
I agree with EY 1. Give yourself time especially if you were an EA for several years. It’s a big transition as we are used to being so busy and the go to to the top leaders. At times as much as we don’t want to admit assistants are looked down upon. Give it time again and Good luck in your decision.
I have done this at Amazon. You essentially miss the information that comes to you as an EA in the PM role. It’s easy to make decisions when you are fed everything. You are isolated as a PM and have no exec sponsor to back you. Think about what brings you the most joy and go with that as your career. I was at Amazon 11.5 years. Left 6 months ago for a 30% raise and hate my job because I support 4 people and miss the PM side of being an EA. I would give anything to get to a PM role. 😣

What are you conflicted about?
Have you thought about making a list of pros and cons about each + what you miss about being an EA, and what you might miss about being a PM?

OP - the EA title is EQUAL in importance.
You're literally managing a business using different strategies, tools, tasks as an EA.
Consider being an EA as a choice and not a backward or downward role.
