HR opinion: Do I have any leverage as a hospital nurse case manager in negotiating earned time? Hi i lost majority of my money in the stock market. I married and promised my family that I will not make the mistake I made 7 years ago. Gambling. Is this an addiction I have. I keep selling stocks and taking loses buying other stock hoping it will recover but never did and sell again taking loses and buy again. It now sink in to me. Ex-MBB, recently started a new MM PE role, but had also applied to HBS in case the PE route doesn’t work out. Thankfully, both the PE and HBS applications were successful. Now I need to decide whether to leave my current role after only 6-10 months to go to business school, or try to defer the MBA.

What should I do? I’m torn between wanting to do MBA at an earlier age vs ensuring good PE employability post MBA(either at current firm or other). Not sure how well 6-10 Mos pre-MBA PE exp is valued
