What’s everyone doing right now? 🧐
Yikes Ella lol

Hi all
Few months back, I accepted @pwc india's offer but didn't join.
Now I was referred for @pwc US but as I was applying for the job, the portal shows previous application with status as offer accepted.
Will pwc consider me again?
Does anyone have any idea on this?
Has someone accepted the offer but didn't join and later joined again after some months?
Please let me know
Any inputs will be helpful
Thanks!

In our firm, incoming leads distributed to friends and family. The rest are at the mercy of friends and family to be included, even if you are the expert. Instead friends and family drain you for your knowledge and use that to sell the work. It works. 😁

How does sales credit get allocated? Some firms take the price and divy it up across the team, and others let them pile on anyone who had a remote hand in it, even the IT guy. Learn the methodology then reverse engineer it to suit you.

When we (PMD) smell blood in the water, we all dogpile in but collectively add nothing of value until one or two emerge as the front runner to lead the proposal. If it triggers certain thresholds, then more sales people and back office folks get involved. Nothing actually happens for a long time but we have lots of meetings. Then after a while a proposal emerges and then everyone either distances themselves (if it sucks) or dogpile more people to claim credit.
So if a client comes to a specific partner and it’s in that partner’s core expertise area why would that partner not get sole credit? In our firm team selling is incentivized and in our metrics however real money makers are differentiated than the tag alongs. Curious how you separate the two of always a team sport

At BCG there is an extra portion of revenue credits that can only be allotted to other partners. It’s double counting all the way down…
In today’s world, meaningful and large strategic/technology/solution advisory services are multi-disciplinary and complex. Rarely do we see a single threaded sales motion being sold (in which case a single partner may sell an engagement with just their team). As I interact with lots of consulting firms, they bring in multiple partners, with domain speciality for industry, business segment and solution area. Each one has a separate revenue target but each successful deal would be double counted towards each partner’s target. The reason is simple. Each domain area is clearly important and critical to the deal and they would have been part of one organization, historically - though the operating model dictates otherwise.
Most large accounts have an account MD, and service line MDs. They (co)originate and depending on the deal size it can feed others. 8-9 figure deals feed many not all of whom are truly originating.
