I see many posts saying that we get a lot of calls during Notice Period.
What do you mean by getting calls? Like even without applying??
Because few posts say "I'm getting lot of calls, but only selecting a few to attend".
Please explain how do we get calls. I have just started my notice period and need some serious suggestions.

I need your suggestions on below query.
I got an offer from Oracle but I already informed the recruiter that I am not going to join and already communicated the same to HR via mail and phone. But I got a call from bluedart that they have shipped the laptop to my address.
Could you please suggest on the same. I don't understand why they have sent laptop even if I will not join and already communicated to them 1 month before joining date. Oracle
What is the salary range for 6b band in ibm. Earlier i got 9 lpa offer later negotiated with counteroffer and they matched with 12 lpa. Now i got another offer of 15 lpa fixed. Will IBM match this offer.

I have got offers from Citiustech Healthcare Technologies 15LPA and Fission Labs 15 LPA and Genpact 16.5 LPA. Which company should I choose so that I can switch to a product based company after 2 years with total 5 yoe?

Think on these aspects-
Growth at Cognizant vs growth at EY
(What is promotion gap between 2 levels)
Hike percentage per year
(Which company offers more hike per year for similar ratings)
Location preference (personal choice)
Onsite opportunity (personal choice)
I have heard this- if they wanna retain you because someone else is offering more, you should not stay.
A few pointers,
EY India would cater to Indian clients, with CTS you'll get global clients.
You've been with CTS for some time and probably have a good repo and a network within the firm, while EY would be an uncharted territory.
You've decided to leave CTS for a reason and once you put down your papers, a part of you already left CTS, would you be comfortable/willing going back. Also, was pay the only reason you were planning to leave?
Finally, imagine you don't have an offer from EY, would you want to stay at CTS and look no further OR imagine CTS wouldn't give you a counter offer, would you happily switch to EY?
Whoever pays more go with them.
Is it the salary for which you looked out for?
Compare the role and the prospects you will have..have a fair estimate of how your life would be say 5 years from now, in terms of earning, position, reputation etc.
See once you initiate a discussion of resignation that remains in the minds of the leaders.. if you are grossly underpaid people understand else they may think you are job shopping.
Speak to people in the next company to understand the culture, growth etc so you are convinced before you join there rather take things for granted and later get shocked.
Think of the profile and where the work is better.
