Hi guys, Now VMware is offering me a 35% percent hike of what I am earning at DellEmc. I just completed one year at DellEmc. Total 2.7YOE But I don't like to go out of Dell, due to some personal commitments I am planning to switch.
Is it a good time to switch?
Can I talk with my manager ?
Are they able to hike the salary of what VMware is offering? Please suggest me.

If they are smart they should always be looking. Based on the responses on FB in the prior year this time, people were making moves in December and January just to “stick it” to their firm.
What Deloitte 1 says. Mid January is going to be another big wave that is gonna leave. You may have some trickling now as people find a good job to transfer. But the people who are burnt out are going to wait till after vacation and holidays and then leave on the first offer they get.
It generally slows down during the holidays and picks back up in mid-January.
