I am interviewing at CIBC for the role of Senior Consultant, Analytics at Toronto. This role is a people manager with 2-3 reportees. I am confused about the level and paygrade. Can someone at CIBC help me understand the level and paygrade for this role? I was hoping to get at least Director level.

Brand planners, how much time do you typically get when you’re on a new account writing a brief for a new integrated campaign? Do you find yourself having to negotiate/push back with account folks so you have the time to do it properly? Curious with shortening timelines these days how long you all have to think about a brand brief.

How do y’all deal with people at work who are stuck on stupid? Like they have no idea what they’re talking about and they REFUSE to learn. It’s like they have a god complex or something even with proof, maybe bc of their tenure at the company? Even if there’s valid data backing up that they’re wrong. When I joined my current company, we were on a quarterly bonus structure with guaranteed payouts each quarter. This was, in fact, how the recruiter said he could meet my salary request.

The company just announced we are moving to annual payouts only, with no payments for 2023 until May 2024. There are no raises happening.

This amounts to 12% less money in my pocket in 2023 plus inflation.

Is this standard, or should I be looking for opportunities elsewhere?

Hello All, my joining date needs to be extended by 5 days in JPMC and HR said in call that no revised offer letter based on new joining date will be issued and new joining date confirmation will be somewhat communicated prior to 3 days of onboarding.
However he mentioned he will reply back with a confirmation email on top of the email which I have sent requesting for revised joining date.
