Ugh I hear you. It can turn into a real issue for me with anxiety/panic. I do a couple things: 1) go in a quiet room (or bathroom, hey) put my head down and take some deep breaths and push myself to realize I got this. I'm lucky that I feel totally comfortable doing that at my desk if need be, my coworkers are cool. 2) I make a list and just start knocking things off one by one. It's old fashioned but tried and true for a reason.
All that said, don't have a term for it 😊🤷🏽♀️
There is a term! Choice paralysis. It's the paradox of choice that Devo sings about in Freedom of Choice. See also the related term analysis paralysis.
I think the realistic term you’re looking for is, “you work at Havas, and they do that to people.”
I‘ve also read it in academia as “choice overload!”
A walk around the block or a good shit are nice mental breaks.
I took time management training when I worked at a tech company and it really helped. Putting it on paper or in an app relieves my stress because now that it’s recorded I won’t forget it. Then I prioritize the things I need to get done that day and track who I delegate/hand things off to, like if I send copy to proofing, I mark it with a note to followup. Just a moleskin planner knockoff or a free task app made a difference for me
Are you me?
It's called being overwhelmed lol
