Job has up to 80% travel PwC
How is typically life for these positions requiring travel? This is for a SWE position.
Currently work with clients is remote as stated by the recruiter. If work is currently feasible through virtual means, will there be flexibility to choose to travel for this position?
I have an offer with PWC and have a family. I would prefer to be with my family.

You have to apply for AP but right now I believe you have stamped L1A on your passport , use that for your trips and coming back to US. Generally i485/EAD/AP are applied together
Until your AP and EAD are approved, you can’t leave the country. If you leave, these applications are considered abandoned. This has no bearing on your I-485 application.
And yes you should absolutely apply for AP and EAD. But don’t use / invoke them until your L1A is valid. However in the event that you get laid off, your L1A is no longer valid and it’s in this situation that you can invoke your EAD/AP to travel outside of the US. I don’t know if EAD can be used to find another job in this situation but you can ask your lawyers.
Feel free to DM with any additional questions.
Your choice but if you get laid off, you have no backup on an L1A. It’s a pretty risky move but you do you
I traveled after EAD is approved but AP not approved yet. I used my H1B. My lawyer told me it’ll be viewed as abandoning AP application but no impact on I-485. Also they told me to wait for the rejection of AP then file again. But I got AP approved then GC approved later.
