Did 4 rounds of interviews. Last 2 with 2 partners at EY. Haven’t heard back even after 1 month. One partner even commented “you will be a good addition to the team”. Hiring manager gave EY email after her interview call with me.
Fast forward two weeks, no communication. Recruiting was surprised that I was still chasing for this position, month later. Got to know last week that hiring team was continuing to interview candidates. Should I drop the idea to get hired? EY hasn’t rejected me yet.

Companies that are probably more willing to sponsor have worse employee reviews which results in fewer qualified applicants, I would go look for companies that have had job openings, for what you are looking for, for a long time and that their employee reviews aren’t fantastic. Companies that have a lot of qualified applicants aren’t going to choose to sponsor an H1B when there is no guarantee of getting one, there is a gap between when you file for one and when you can work (unless you are cpt/opt), and there is a time limit, then if they intend to keep you long term they have to go through a perm process, and finally especially if they already have a plethora of qualified candidates. My advice is to do as I said above and go find jobs that people don’t want and where companies are desperate, get them to sponsor and then either transfer it, which is much easier but still difficult to find companies willing to do it, and try to get them to expedite your perm process. I know that doesn’t exactly answer your question but hopefully it can point you in the right direction.
