Currently, we're using JazzHR for our ATS and importing new hires in ADP WorkForce Now, our HRIS and where we run payroll. JazzHR has been great, and ADP has mostly been a pain. We're also using Concur for expenses. Just did a demo with Paycom and was generally really pleased, except the ATS which seems really bare bones compared to JazzHR. Is it worth trading the ease and functionality of our standalone ATS to get an all-in-one solution?
How long, on average, did it take you to study before you could pass the PHR/SPHR exam? Did you think it was worth it?
How many of you have actually read the entire handbook? How long was it? What was the hardest or easiest part of the handbook for you?
Having read the Outward Mindset from the Arbinger Institute I wonder if any of you have used it in your business to help with a cultural mind shift? If so, do you have thoughts you can share? Thanks!!
Seeing a lot of posts about SDRs and concern over CTR and response rate. After a while you need to think about changing the medium, not the messaging.
Do seasoned enterprise reps actually think that MEDDIC helps the sales process? This is coming from the perspective that champions are undervalued and the economic buyer in a F500 company does not usually speak with vendors. The market here is developer tooling. Curious to hear thoughts as many sales leaders use MEDDIC as an inspection tool to manage sales reps with little practical value for deals.
When an employee complains about their manager how do you address it?...The employee was not reporting any harassment allegations; it was the standard “I do everything and make my boss look good while my boss does nothing all day.” There is really nothing to work off of here and I don’t know how to respond other than “sorry that sucks” and “what do you suggest be done?”
What do you do on Monday to get your week set up? I feel like I spend so much time helping my team get their pipelines in shape for the week / setting up a plan.
Trying to work with my team in a remote environment by getting them more disciplined. What's your Monday routine?
https://www.pipedrive.com/ This weeks technology highlight is Pipedrive. My company still does not have a formal CRM. I went out and found my own.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a years of service awards vendor? We are looking to move to an online catalog where our employees can pick the gift they want. Thanks in advance!
Has anyone written the CHRL Employment Exam in Canada - Ontario specifically. What was your experience like and how did you prepare?
It's great to finally have a bowl of our own! In terms of HCM software, what is something that all of them tend to be missing, aside from a good user experience?
Does anyone have a recommendation for a list broker? I am trying to find a legitimate vendor and I can’t seem to find one that doesn’t seem to be run out of a seedy back room.
Just venting. I’m tech, and many employees (like 85%) think that being a jerk is a badge of honor and their EQ is like at high school level, so talking to them about diversity issues is like banging head against the wall. They insist that any diversity hire is costing a job to another person with PhD. On top of it, another fancy thing to do in tech is to hate HR. So the conversations usually are like “Oh, you’re in HR, I understand now why you have such a stupid opinion”.
What are your thoughts on having your webcam on/off for meetings with prospects? Do you have them turn it on, differences in industries for value of face-to-face, etc?
How do your companies recognize technical (e.g., STEM) accomplishments? I’ve heard of old school things like fellowships and “Distinguished Engineer” titles. Wondering what other places do now. I’m struggling to see where my path leads if I don’t want to be a people manager and instead focus on becoming a top technical IC instead. Are there clear paths for that anymore?
Is it allowed to have 1-2 weeks overlap between your end date at current employer and starting date at new employer?
Anything any of the firms are doing to support workers who work in hotels that may be laid off. Such a major part of all of our lives would be nice to do something for them.
We have this female subcontractor on our team who is well known on the project for lying and throwing people under the bus to cover her mistakes. Last week she tried doing the same to me (contd)
Hello, fish friends! I’m Kate, a new bowl leader for the Mental Health + Support and Pharma + Health Advertising bowls. Looking forward to fostering interesting discussions and keeping trolls at bay. Let me know if you have any best practices to share or advice for a baby fish like me.
Going into second yr as C (been analyst for a year just promo-ed) Anyone knows if MBB hires junior resources a year out after grad? Should I get referred? Or do they only have graduation programs
SAP 🐟, has anyone obtained a certification by using SAP Learning Hub courses as the main prep tool?
So if all the big 4 piss off their employees at the same time and start losing their top talent to one other, who wins in the long term? Confused as to what the strategy is.
SOS. I got laid off and have been collecting unemployment. My company wants to hire me for some temporary work but I’d only be making $40 more than I was on unemployment. Continued in comments
For any POC at non-profits looking to network there's a new bowl. https://joinfishbowl.com/bowl_453um

Experience in IT audit doing SOX, SOC, and IA work. Saw a job opening at D for an access and identity management consultant. Should I even bother applying or would it be a waste of time? I meet about half the requirements.
Signed an offer letter last week, starting first week of April. Of course worried about onboarding remotely and layoffs, anyone else starting fresh in the midst of this craziness?
