I am WAY TOO nice to be in public accounting….
Pittsburgh big4 audit senior salary?
Advice needed - boyfriend has almost 3.5 years of finance experience at a bank. Interviewed for PwC valuation senior associate and now recruiter says they want to hire him at “experienced associate” because he has no valuation experience. Is this too big of a step backwards in career? Should he push back and see if it gets him anywhere? If he does accept Associate, is it reasonable to ask for written, definitive timeline (1 year?) for promo to Senior upon meeting standards? Help!

Do not give notice until you've cleared all pre-employment screening. Always look out for yourself over the company, just as the company looks out for itself over you. You're not burning a bridge by giving a short notice since you'll be burning it anyway by leaving after only 6.5 months.
Why do you have to give notice today?
Because I want them to have time to get someone into my position and train that person. It would be 11 days not 2 weeks notice. I know, how they deal with me leaving is not my problem, but I believe in “when they go low, you go high”.
You need to wait until your new employer gives you the all clear. If you work in a toxic environment, they will tell you to leave immediately. So, keep quiet. Also going high is nice, but paying your bills is better.
I think you should be fine. I wouldn’t give notice until all your pre employment stuff has been completed but you should still be able to start your new job with 11 days notice. That’s two weeks is still a courtesy 10 business days notice.
If you don’t take drugs, then nothing to worry about, right? 🤦🏻♂️
If you eat massive quantities of uncooked poppy seed food products, it’s possible, but very unlikely. But sure thing….😂😂😂
How would one not pass biometrics?
6.5 month work should probably be omitted from your next resume anyway. If you haven't used drugs, why worry? Give a week's notice and take a few days' vacation, the 16th isn't far away.
Blaze up a doobie for the immediate chill, then maintain patience after telling your current employer that you are moving out. It's a free country in regards to these actions.
Things worked out nicely. On Monday, I gave notice to my toxic “old” job and on Wednesday “new” job called that I passed drug and biometric tests. Also on Wednesday, I was in the office and my boss told me that I can leave today and don’t need work until 15th. So I did. As someone here mentioned they might ask me to leave immediately and that happened. Not sure what future hold for me, but last job was a job from hell..
Leaving with two weeks pay or without?
