Considering how many resumes companies are getting these days, maybe print out 10 or so and take one to each of your top choices. Dress like you’re going for an interview and be ready to answer questions. Sometimes a face along with a resume can make a difference. At this point, you are just a name in a stack of resumes. Handing them a resume makes it more personal and it puts a face with the name. You will definitely become a standout at that point.
Granted, some companies prefer email, but you will be viewed as someone who is serious and willing to go out on a ledge. Good luck to you!

Hi, I'm in the same situation, but somehow I still have energy to push on. I don't even have a backup job and I'm using up my savings. BUT. Since I have reached out to old colleagues to pop some recommendations on my Linkedin profile (that was in March), things have seemingly shifted. Meybe or maybe not because of that. But they did. I started to have responses to my applications, attended interviews, one was at 4th stage (a 'stronger' candidate got the job, bless them) so these are very strong signals. I'm attendig industry related seminars, exhibition, printed my own 'CV card' (well, top 5 achievements on the back of it) and handing these out on networking events like these. And in the meantime I am using this time to talk to AI about the market intel, also through the interviews and Linkedin posts - these put us in a much better position agains those who are 'jobhopping' as they don't have the intel. Check your Linkedin profile if you are selling yourself well - is the tagline correct? How does it read to a recruiter/hiring manager? What about the content? The activities - are you posting/responding to other's posts? >>> this is crucial as activity drives your rating >>> visibility!
