I did it!!! I left advertising to work with my friend at his recruiting firm. This advertising thing I spent the last decade doing was a dream that twisted into a nightmare. One day I came to the conclusion that there were so many things I’d rather do for far less money. I started listing them: a welder, a bartender, I even longed for my days at Gap. Thats when it clicked that this was always going to make me unhappy. Hope you all find the same peace in this rotting hellscape.

RE Attorneys: When sending title objection letters, how do simplify them for parties on the other side who “just don’t get it”? I try my hardest to explain the purpose of the TOL and that most of the objections will be handled by the title company, but most sellers don’t understand, ignore the TOL, and blow the seller response deadline. Most of the time the only response that is needed is “Yes, Seller agrees to satisfy all B-I requirements and to execute an owners affidavit at closing...”

It’s hard to be motivated when rounds of layoffs happen and you see all your friends leave. But one thing that’s gotten me through all of this is working out. And when I say workout I mean the most pathetic, sad, barely completed beginner-level cardio dance routines. I’ve somehow forced myself to move while on lockdown and it’s somehow forced me to feel better. Whatever you’re doing, wherever you are: get up and move even if you don’t finish or end up going on a walk. Pls take care of yourself❤️
