I don’t wear outward signs of my faith at work, but once a year on Ash Wednesday it gets awkward. I’ve had a boss lunge across a table to wipe the (to him) “big smudge of dirt” off my forehead. Or someone invariably says or does something strange. Anyone else having, or had, similar experiences?
