Hi everyone, I have 2 years of experience in a service based industry as a Java developer, and I am eager to work hard and switch to a reputed product based organisation, but I am not getting proper time to study and practice data structures and algorithms, as I have so much to learn and understand things which are related to my project. Any suggestions would be appreciated and I'll try to inculcate it. Thanks in advance! Amazon Oracle Samsung Microsoft Cisco Salesforce Arcesium Uber

I switched to client side and found it really rewarding to be closer to the decision making and I was working with agencies so felt well equipped to be a “good client” and give worthwhile direction and feedback. I think most client marketing positions value someone with agency experience. There are also some clients that have their own internal agencies which is kind of best of both worlds with license to be creative and part of a larger organization. Yes it also means you work across other departments but I enjoyed that. Also typically job is more stable, hours are better and so is the full compensation package. Going client side does not mean you can’t go back.
I should add that the meetings often come when there is no job on the table. Go learn about the job you want. Then when you see a position open up you’ll know better how to sell your skills and will probably have built some allies on the other side
I went client side... it is just as soul crushing. Advertising/Marketing is just for people who can accept/endure pain. I should have been an accountant.
Yikes. Please pass the razor blades all. No need to disinfect.
Will work for door
Yes agencies do suck the life out of you. Start looking / applying client side if that is what you truly want. You just might be surprised by getting some responses.
Talk to a headhunter. Maybe what you’re after is a client atmosphere with more creativity (entertainment industry, music, events, performance, etc).

Same boat. <sigh>
Im not sure what i would do client side. It feels so stiff. I dont own any khaki pants. Dunno. Just doesnt feel right to me
Obviously what client makes a difference.
I think the real ad biz is now with independents, the networks missed the boat. It’s still possible to feel the joy of creativity, just look beyond the obvious suspects for places to thrive.
Follow-on to my original post. I've been on approximately 2 dozen interviews in the past year and still ended up at an agency. Seems to prove my original statement.
Or I'm just shit at interviewing. But that was never true until recently.
