The 'MAR-A-LAGO' act..!these Dems are on a roll!
Adderall just kicked in. Zoooooom.
Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

Most effective trick is going to bed earlier, but that’s usually less in your control. I’d say delay your caffeine consumption in the morning till mid-morning and instead try to get outside and walk around for a bit to wake up naturally
Embrace your natural night owl. Don’t conform to the smug morning larks and subscribe to the fiction that they are somehow morally superior. Evolution gave us diverse sleeping patterns because it benefitted the tribe. Dont fight who you really are!
Rising Star
I feel the same. I always feel great when I work out early, but it’s hard to have a great workout early
It can be advantageous to be a night person if you’re far enough ahead to reconnect by noon. Then the morning people are just catching up to where you left off.
5am is quite early. Even a morning person will feel groggy at that time. If you can aim for anytime between 7:00-8:30, I think that’s more sustainable and also it takes time for the body to adjust so give it a week or two and it will start feeling more easy
Don't try to push your body too far out of its natural pattern if you don't have to. It'll only make your sleep/health worse.
Hm 5am would be too early for this but hypothetically when I have trouble getting up I call my mom so she can ramble about random things or nag and that will make it impossible for me to snooze or get back to sleep and I will get annoyed awake LMAOO
Routine...same routine 7 days a week, making sure it all works and makes sense
Fight the early bird propaganda. Night owls can be just as successful and effective.
Get a dog!
I have never been a morning person. Even in my 30s I was the guy rolling out of bed and into the car.
But I have 2 dogs and for the past several years I walk them a mile every morning before work. I start my workday completely awake and I’ve steadily lost a lot of excess pounds as well
Go to bed earlier. Getting up early isn’t about sleeping less. It’s about shifting your schedule.
