I’ll start - I’m an advisor in Wealth Management with TC of $70k, 3 YOE and no side hustle. Among other things, rent just jumped from $2500 to $3700 for 2 bedroom and areas were looking at. I’d like to “make it” here but if it means switching career to make money I’d like to get an idea to make the right job change.

I judge the company I work every time they misspell my name even though I’ve corrected it over and over again. It tells me they don’t care and don’t want to make the effort. It’s in my email, my email signature, on my profile, etc. How hard is it to look it up and spell it correctly?!

My VP asked my fellow team member to take on a task simply because of her race to help them land a grant renewal. We’re both women of color but since I didn’t match the target audience I was not asked even though the task is on a project I am overseeing. We’re both offended with how this was handled by the VP, are we overreacting?

I loathe Monday morning meetings. We have a monthly team meeting at 8:00am PT and it makes me so mad! 😂 It’s always on a Monday, and I have the hardest time getting motivated for them. Normally I wake up at 6:30am, check the news, stocks, shower, eat breakfast, get dressed and start answering emails at 8am.. no speaking meetings until 10am. Growing up was rough. On my 8th birthday my dad had an accident that led to this death a few days later. He was a good man who took care of us all (I had 3 siblings now 2; lost 1 few years ago). I'm in a good place in life right now I only find myself in the last 5years shedding a tear once a while when I'm alone.
